First Bromances, Now Twice-Weekly Shopping Trips for Guys

A new study of U.K. men finds they spend $1,500 a year on clothes, shoes and accessories

Next time your guy makes some comment about women and their shopping addictions, tell him to worry about his own clothing habits.

The Daily Mail reports that a recent survey of U.K. men finds dudes are shelling out a whopping $1,575 on clothes, accessories and shoes each year, and they’re buying or shopping two and half times per week, on average.

Shopping is sooo no longer a “women” thing.

They have high-end taste, too. The survey found that 41 percent of guys would rather pay for a few pricier pieces, with 60 percent saying stores with designer brands are more likely to draw them in, according to the newspaper.

Most of the male respondents – 72 percent – say they use their tablet or smartphone when they shop, which might account for the fact that nearly 60 percent only need a couple minutes to know what they want to buy, the Daily Mail adds.

Sounds like a nice little Saturday hitting the mall is order. Maybe even a trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond -- if there’s enough time.
