Pamela Anderson Just Cut Off All Her Hair. What Do You Think?

The sex symbol shears off her long blonde locks for an elegant pixie hairstyle

By Lesley Kennedy - October 31, 2013

Nope, that’s not a Halloween costume.

Blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson, known not only for her va-va-voom curves, but her long platinum mane, is now rocking a totally style-transforming pixie cut.

The Baywatch and Barb Wire star, 46, debuted her newly shorn ‘do in Los Angeles Oct. 30, wearing a prim to-the-knee black and white striped dress, a demure white cardigan (which she clasped at the neck), and simple ladylike accessories including a black handbag, ballet flats and oversized sunglasses.

Seems like a lot of stars are catching the pixie, er, buzz. Jennifer Hudson showed off her new cropped hair at an event on Oct. 26, and Beyonce revealed a pixie (that didn’t last long) on Instagram.

It may not be for everyone, but Pam? Part Charlize, part Mia, part Twiggy ... You are working it. Can we borrow your scissors?

The 10 Weirdest (But Most Amazing) Places Anyone Ever Got Married

From an underwater wedding to a zero-gravity affair, check out these insane snaps from couples' big (and fearless) days

By Alesandra Dubin - October 31, 2013

Confession: We’re total suckers for wedding photos. Even the most mundane shots from a couple’s big day make us go all misty. That’s why our minds were totally blown when we saw these photos that Business Insider rounded up from some of the most outrageous wedding moments ever captured around the world. From underwater nuptials to a zero-gravity affair, we cannot. stop. staring at these totally out-there I-dos!

Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 14.

This is the week where I hit a wall. I swear I am not making an excuse because I continue to put in all the work. I am following the program. I did my exercise and ate how I am supposed to. I will tell you at beginning of my post that this week on Nutrisystem, I did not lose any weight. I did not gain any either, but I am disappointed. I am worried that I hit a plateau.

I have had help with the dietician before, and I just sent off another email to her. I am sure I need to adjust my program and either add in more exercise or change up the program a bit. My body is probably used to the program at this point.

I do exercise a lot more than what is suggested. Nutrisystem suggests 3 - 10 minute activities a day. I walk (a brisk walk at that) for a full sixty minutes every morning. I also go to the gym at least 3 times a week for about 45 minutes and ride the bike and do the Cybex machines. On the days that I don't go to the gym, I walk another 30 - 40 minutes each evening. My evening walk has turned into more of an interval workout with a few minutes of jogging worked into the brisk walking. I am definitely getting my exercise in.

For any of you on weight loss programs, what have you done to work through that plateau? I am on track, but I still have those goals to reach. To this point, I have lost 22 pounds.

Want to lose weight and get healthy on Nutrisystem? Join today by calling 1-888-853-4689 or by visiting www.nutrisystem.com/nsblog.

Disclosure: As part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program, Nutrisystem is providing me with the Nustrisystem program, free of charge, which includes food and support, in exchange for my honest opinion of the program. No other compensation has been given. All thoughts are my own.

M∙A∙C Holiday Collection 2013: Divine Night.

I am so excited to finally start talking about all of the beautiful holiday collections that have launched over the last month or so. I have been holding out on you -- I know. I feel October is just too early to start talking about the holidays, but now that the end of the month is here, I just could not contain myself any longer.

The first holiday collection I am going to present is none other than this stunner for MAC called Divine Night. You know I live for the MAC holiday collections and can't wait for them each year. This one does not disappoint.

M·A·C Holiday Collection 2013: Divine Night

Enjoy yourself – past midnight, the darkness keeps the secrets. Gorgeous colours in rich finishes captivate at every angle, inspiring an evening of lavish living, on the scene and to be seen. Blush and Skinfinish rise to the occasion, pairing rich, contrasting shades with the graphic impact of a limited-edition powder design. Sultry eyes are done with Mineralize Eye Shadow, Fluidlines and Kohl Power Eye Pencil in glittering shades of pearl, from red to green to gold. The ingenious double-lush brush of False Lashes strokes each lash with dramatic volume, sharpening eyes with ultimate definition. Experience finishing touches that are fit to fire up everyone’s envy: lustrous lip shades in nude, satin taupe, red and plum and glossy nails in velvet gold, darkest silver suede and blackened burgundy.

Of course, the first thing I noticed was the boxes. The black is a bit deeper than the regular packaging and the lettering is a shiny gold. The cases are also blacker than normal with shiny gold accents. It really is stunning. I love the contrast of finishes.

Overall, the collection is very frosty. If you have pores of fine lines, proceed with caution. I am a fan of the mineralize finish products though, so with a lot of blending, I found that the frostiness can be toned down. I don't mind the frosty look on my eyes. The only product that I have that I found to be overly frosted on me was the Mineralize Skinfinish in Scene to Be Seen, but that is because I do have some fine lines. Alternately, I really, really like Centre of Attention and have been using this over my bronzer and center of my face almost every day since receiving it. Of course, you can't go wrong with any of the Kohl Power Eye Pencils or Fluidline. I still use Deliciously Rich from the Indulge Collection, so if you didn't pick that one up earlier this fall, here is another chance. For lips, I adore Flair for Finery; this nude pink is another perfect nude pink for me.

Consider Your Hunt for the Most Flattering Lipstick Color Over

Nude, wine-stained, and red lips are classic hues that flatter any skin tone.

By Michele Laufik - October 30, 2013

To get the neutral lip, first line and fill your lips, starting at the cupid’s bow, with a light pink lip pencil and smudge. Then, apply pink lipstick and gloss. For a wine-stained pout, line your lips with a burgundy liner, smudging the line inward. Then, apply a wine-colored gloss. If you want to amp up the look, layer the matching liner on top and smudge. To get a fiery red look, line your lips and fill in with a matching lipstick.

Halloween Inspiration: The Warrior Princess.

Top makeup artists Erica Whelan and Emily Kate Warren have some more Halloween ideas for you with this Warrior Princess look. They shared with me the products and tips they used to create this medieval inspired look. The products they used are from COVERGIRL and Vidal Sassoon Pro Series, which can be easily purchased at your favorite drugstore or mass retailer.

Warrior Princess Halloween Look

Spritz alternating two-inch sections of hair with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Hairspray and loosely curl with a curling iron. Start at mid-strand, leaving the ends out.Apply Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Extreme SMOOTH Combing Crème through waves and brush from mid-strand to end to leave hair full. Starting two-inches from your hairline braid a one-inch section of hair and secure with an elastic band.  Repeat to form two braids on each side of your face. If you’re comfortable with forming braids, add one larger French braid.Join braids at the back of your head with an elastic.Prep skin with moisturizer, then apply COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation with a foundation brush for even coverage. Set with pressed powder. Dust on bronzer for a sun kissed look.Apply COVERGIRL Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm in Be Sweet on your lips and the apples of your cheeks for a natural, all-over flush.Define and fill in brows with a brow pencil several shades darker than your natural brow color. Lightly sweep bronzer across eyelids and in the crease for definition and finish with COVERGIRL Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Protect.

I am a big fan of Laura Mercier's foundation primers, both the Foundation Primer and Foundation Primer Radiance. She just launched a new one and as I have been using it ever since I received it, I am obviously a big fan of this one too. Meet Foundation Primer Protect.

This primer is great because it not only preps the skin for flawless makeup application and holds foundation, keeping makeup fresh and color-true for hours, but it also protects it from the suns harmful rays. It does that because it includes SPF 30.

This is so smart, because there are some moisturizers and foundations that just don't have the sun protection factor, and this is vital for everyday. I love that using it in a primer gives us another option for protection. Especially when it is put in such a great oil-free formula such as this.

The primer formula glides on my skin evenly with its lightweight, creamy gel feel. It truly helps to create the  perfect canvas for makeup application. It minimizes the appearance of imperfections and pores for a smooth, natural finish, and creates this bond like "buffer" to outside elements that expertly holds foundation and keeps it in place all day.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Protect retails for $32.00 and is available now at lauramercier.com and Sephora.

Live In Each Moment.

Have you ever had one of those moments in time that you wanted to live over and over? I have had so many; the extra special occasions that were so special and life changing. The ones that went by so fast that you felt like you almost missed it. The ones that you almost forgot to live in each moment.

My husband Jeff and I recently celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. We had a whirlwind courtship. We knew each other for about a year before we dated, but once we made that jump from friendship to dating, it went to engagement, to moving in together to getting married in just a few months time. I was head over heels in love with him before I even introduced him to my parents.

I recently saw a preview of a movie About Time, a film from Richard Curtis, the creator of Love Actually, Notting Hill, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. There is a scene in the film where Mary (Rachel McAdams) and Tim (Domhnall Gleeson), the main characters in the film, are having dinner with Mary's parents for the first time. Mary is doing all of the talking for Tim, because she is just so in love with him and she wants her parents to love Tim just as much as she does. This scene had me in tears because it reminded me of the time when I introduced Jeff to my parents for the first time. I remember coming home from work late because I had to go buy a new outfit to wear because that was the night that Jeff would be coming over to meet them. I was doing everything I could to distract myself from how nervous I was. I wanted them to love him as much as I did. It had been all of two weeks, but like I said above, I was head over heels in love with him. I knew I would be marrying this man I was about to introduce to the people whom respected most in the world. I remember the very 80's neon accented outfit; my big hair, bright makeup and super long fake nails. Luckily, he loved it all. My plan was to distract him with the outfit and hair and rush him in and out of the house fast. I was going to do all of the talking for Jeff, just as Mary did for Tim in the movie. It just didn't turn out the way I planned. Jeff had bigger plans. He took my family, along with my aunt and sister, all out to dinner. I didn't get a word in all night. My parents loved him. It is one of those nights that I wish I could go back and relive. I wish I could have relaxed and enjoyed that moment more.

About Time tells the story of a young man, Tim, whose special "gift" allows him to go back and relive any moment of his life. But instead of making every moment perfect, he learns that life and love are most extraordinary when you embrace all of their imperfections. Critics are already calling About Time "the first must-see movie of the fall" and "easily the most heartwarming, feel-great film of the season." On 11.8.13, get ready to fall in love all over again, with About Time. Here is a preview.

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Universal Pictures through their partnership with POPSUGAR. While I was compensated to write a post about About Time, all opinions are my own.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artisan Brush Collection.

There has been one key component missing in the MAKE UP FOR EVER brand since its inception until now and it is something I have noticed; makeup brushes. That's because Creator & Artistic Director Dany Sanz is a perfectionist and it took her over five years to create the new MAKE UP FOR EVER Artisan Brush Collection, the most expansive luxury brush collection available today.

Dany set out to reinvent the makeup artists' most vital tool with this extensive set. The range includes brushes from everyday must-haves to highly customized tools to create the most intricate and artistic effects that only trained makeup artists would need. The five year process involved testing a variety of synthetic fibers that mimic the silky softness of natural hair. The construction of each brush involved 25 unique stages, and was hand-crafted by a total of 30 people from start to finish.

What also makes this brush collection unique is the specific synthetic fiber technology that is used in several diameters and types: wavy or straight depending on the required use. When fibers are straight, application is more generous and precise, while wavy bristles are more splayed, allowing for a lighter and freer application. A unique combination of the two fiber textures gives infinite creative possibilities.

When shopping for a brush, look for a number in the range of which part of your face you are shopping for:

100s = complexion products
200s = eye products
300s = lip product
400s = brushes designed for professional makeup artists and special effects

I can tell when I use a run of the mill makeup brush versus a high quality makeup brush. I try so many makeup brushes from high end brands to mass produced all the time and am disappointed often. I have been continually wowed with each new MAKEUP UP FOR EVER Artisan Brush I try. I have a few favorites that now have a permanent place on my vanity.

#270 - Angled Eyebrow Brush $21.00
This eyebrow brush is good for creams or powders. It is a short and firm angled brush that is used to fill in eyebrows with precision, as well as blend brow pencils in for a more natural result.

#228 -  Precision Shader Brush, Medium $25.00
This eyeshadow brush is great for all shadows, pressed, loose or cream. It is medium, dense and rounded, with no sharp angles. Its paddle shape and flexibility are used to apply, blend and smudge all types of eye products quickly for an even and intense result. It's especially good for the eyebrow arch.

#216 - Precision Blender Brush, Medium $25.00
It is medium, rounded and dense. It is used to precisely smudge products in the crease of the eye. Due to its density, product collection is generous with high payoff.

#104 - Foundation Brush, Small $35.00
This is the classic foundation brush used by make up enthusiasts. It is a small, tapered, flat brush with wide bristles ideal for applying and blending cream or liquid foundations accurately and quickly for an even result all over.

#128 - Precision Powder Brush $52.00
Long and flat brush with a tapered tip designed mainly for use on the face, neck and upper shoulders. Ideal for precise powder application with a flawless result thanks to its layered and oval head.

#148 - Blending Blush Brush $55.00
This small, flared dualpurpose brush provides a light finish with a simple, ethereal touch. It is ideal for use with powder and cream product for shading, coloring or highlighting, and its small size creates a precise application of blush and highlighters. Its extreme softness is also well-suited for applying make up to sensitive skin.

#176 - Concealer Brush Medium $30.00
Wider than the traditional concealer brush, this firm, flat brush has a pointed tip and is used to blend and touch up foundations and concealers on large areas. The pointed tip also allows it to be used on smaller areas for added precision.

The MAKE UP FOR EVER Artisan Brushes are all carried on Sephora.com, while select brushes are at Sephora stores and MAE UP FOR EVER boutiques.

Makeup Wars: My Fall Manicure.

I am really torn when it comes to fall nails. I am usually all about bold shades on my nails as soon as fall rolls around, but this year I am loving nude colors too. So for my fall manicure I did a mix of both.

I used the butter LONDON Half Moon Manicure Set from QVC to create my fall manicure. First let's take a look at the kit, then we'll look at my manicure.

Butter London Manicure Set

The butter LONDON Half Moon Manicure Set contains all you need for a sensational seasonal manicure, including two hot shades, Union Jack Black - an opaque, glossy, jet-black cream shade and Yummy Mummy - an opaque, medium-beige cream shade. The set also contains Nail Foundation - base coat and Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat. It really is everything you need for a complete mani and perfect for fall. The kit also comes with easy to follow step-by step instructions for how to create a half moon manicure. Though, I am so artistically challenged that it did not work out so well for me. At all.

After multiple attempts at the half moon manicure failed, I wound up with my standard accent nail look that I love so much. I used Yummy Mummy as my base shade and Union Jack Black on my ringer fingers as my accent nail. I then took a toothpick and dipped it into Yummy Mummy and painted a few tiny polka dots over the Union Jack Black. It is a balance of the bold and nude; perfect for fall.

Makeup Wars: My Makeup Storage.

As a beauty blogger and someone who is simply pretty much obsessed with beauty products, I have a lot of products. I am fortunate to do what I do and test a lot of makeup, skin care and hair care items, but it can be overwhelming. Luckily, I have a teenaged daughter with a lot of friends, a sister who is just as addicted to beauty as me, and quite a few friends and family members that regularly go through my stash of products. I also make seasonal donations to local women's shelters and donate to events, etc.. Even with all these hands in my stash, I accumulate a lot.

At times, all these beauty products can seemingly take over my house. I had come up with a system of organizing that works for me. It is not a pretty system. It is not for anyone to see. I like to think of it as organized chaos, actually. While I really don't know where any one thing is, I sort of have an idea of where it may be.

Beauty Blogger Makeup Organization Tips

When I receive products, I unload them onto shelves in my home office. These are the newest of my beauty products; they have either recently been reviewed or need to be reviewed. I clean out these shelves about every month.

From those shelves in my home office, products make their way into a large armoire that I have in my bedroom. Seasonal products or favorites that I may pull out on a regular basis go on the top shelf in bins. I have one bin for lips, eyes, face and skin. Products that need more organizing or storing go into a set of large plastic drawers that I keep in the armoire. I have one unit for department store brands and another for drugstore and mass brands. I label the shelves, again for lips, eye, face and skin. My larger products and sets, products that aren't so easily stored are just thrown in here in front too. These are products I will probably be needing or using soon. Items such as razors, shampoo, body creams and such like to hang out here.

Makeup Organization

I try to do a major reorganization each quarter. This is when I toss old products and put together boxes to donate. As I do this, I fill up drawers in these two lingerie dressers.

Makeup Organization Drawers

These dressers have a lot of smaller sized drawers that are perfect for storing makeup. Because I have many more drawers, I can further separate and organize more. Here I have a drawer for things such as my all time favorite MAC lip products, the eyeshadow palettes I use often, or just a random drawer of lippies.

Beautiful Makeup Search Makeup Organization: Favorite MAC Lip Products

Beautiful Makeup Search Makeup Organization: Most Used Eye Palettes

Beautiful Makeup Search Makeup Organization: Lippie Drawer

I told you it wasn't pretty, but for now, my beauty stash organization works well for me.

I can't wait to see how the rest of my beauty blogger friends store their stash of beauty products too.
